Put a smile on

Now that all assignments and essays are over with,
I finally have time to go dim sum with my parents.

We're face to face but we don't see eye to eye

"It's funny how we always find ourselves wanting
to run back to the ones we used to love, for some reason,
thinking it would work out differently the second time"

Just a Dream

I was thinking about him, thinking about me.
Thinking about us, what we gonna be?
Open my eyes, yeah it was only just a dream.

A few March Breaks ago

Coincidentally came across these pictures on my computer this morning
and realized that they were taken in March 21, 2007 (4 years ago today)
Good old times.
We should perhaps bake again someday.

Time will tell

It wasn't too long ago when I had this thought in my mind
I begin to understand..
Beauty gets the attention, Personality gets the heart.

Every Now and Then

I've been laying here all night, listening to the rain.
Talking to my heart and trying to explain.
Why sometimes I catch myself wondering what might have been.
Yes I do think about you, every now and then.

Real life. Real love..

Today I came across an extremely touching love story that I would like to share with everybody.

Forty years ago, Lau fell in love with Tsui, a girl that was 10 years older than him. Later, Tsui married another man, but he died and left her with 4 children. Lau then said to her " Let me take care of you for the rest of your life." At the time, the society did not accept the fact that older women, with kids should remarry to a younger man. Because Lau did not want Tsui to be humiliated by society, they left to live in a far away hill in China. Life there was harsh, but they managed to live happily, enjoying their quiet life. However, the only way to have access to daily necessities was to climb down the steep hill. Since Lau was afraid that Tsui would easily get hurt  climbing down the hill, he spent 50 years of his life carving 6000 steps, similar to a staircase that we have now. In 2002, this "staircase" was found by explorers and named it "天梯". However, Lau died in 2007 from brain cancer, leaving his wife in the far away hill. Lau's love, as expressed by his staircase will be forever engraved into Tsui's heart.

Below is the video, along with the song 天梯 by C All Star. Enjoy.

Dropping by Cloud Nine

I just finished watching all 10 episodes of 你們我們他們 (Dropping By Cloud Nine). I have actually downloaded the series a while ago, but had no time to start. Dropping by Cloud Nine talks about 10 different love stories, one in each episode. Since not all endings were "happily ever after," it provided us with a more realistic view of love. To me, the main ideology that was evident throughout the series was love vs fate: meeting the right person, at the right time.

We meet many people in our lives, some just "pass by"
never having the chance to even become friends,
while some "stay" as friends, but we never get a chance to fall in love with them.

Sometimes we fall too deep, before realizing that it's already over.
All we are left with is ourselves and a broken heart.

There is never an end to love.
Somewhere, sometime we may meet and fall in love over again.

There will always be someone out there for you,
someone that will be willing to build that perfect relationship with you.

Believe in love and love will find you.

Sometimes you have to be your own Hero

There will be many people out there who will tell you that you can't.
But what you've got to do is turn around and say
"Watch me."
Impress those who question your abilities.
Be strong enough admit that you're wrong because you're smart enough to correct your mistakes.
You're amazing just the way you are.
Dare to dream, keep the faith
The rest is still unwritten.
